  1. Teaching Method - Teachers of Baruipur College try to impart innovative teaching technique to suit the ever increasing requirements of the students. In journalism, Geography and other practical based subjects computers and other latest techniques are used which help students to have competence in coping with the problems. In other subjects also teachers use audio visual tools, latest technology so that students can quickly internalize the basic concepts. This practical oriented course with latest techniques enables students to have self confidence and communicative skills. It gives competence in coping with the problems and situations.
  2. Proposed Advanced Spoken English Class - The British Institute is eager to open Advanced Spoken English class in Baruipur College campus and it will be restricted not only to students of Baruipur College but also for all section of the people of the locality.
  3. Lab and Computer Facilities - The labs are well equipped to provide a congenial environment for learning students to have access to high technical computer facilities specially in the department of Geography, Journalism and Commerce (IT section).
  4. Laboratory of Bio-Science is very much enriched and well equipped. Physiological tests like blood grouping, blood sugar test, measurement of blood pressure as well as blood cell count - all these tests are done here.
  5. Faculties - All the departments with experts and experienced teachers friendly and helpful to the students.
  6. Seminar and Workshops - Seminars, workshops and other interactive sessions are organized by various departments which help to enrich students and teachers participating in different seminars as resource persons.
  7. Study Materials - Students are given excessive study materials to equip themselves in enhancing their academic output.
  8. Students’ Feedback - Students are encouraged to furnish regular feedback about their campus experiences - the merits and drawbacks - at end of each unit tests. Results of unit tests will be regularly published.
  9. Examination/Evaluation Process - Beside unit tests tutorials are also held on each subject. Performance of students are well judged from there examinations and special guidance is offered according to individual need.
  10. Library Facilities - College is enriched with a huge number of books in library and seminar library (approximately 10,000 which help the students to have access to text book and reference books).
  11. Departmental Tour - Different departments arrange conducted tours as criteria of the education curriculum. Such field works provide good exposure to the students.
  12. Games and Sports - The college organizes an annual sports event and awards the students qualifying in different fields. Besides this, facilities for indoor games such as carom, table tennis etc. are also made available to the students of the college. Outdoor games such as cricket, badminton, volleyball, football etc. are also organized in the college. Students also participate in inter-collegiate games and qualify themselves in various tournaments under Calcutta University and District level in Bengal.
  13. Gymnasium - Advanced equipments for multi-gym are used for proper health training and body building.
  14. Yoga - Yoga classes are enunciated for mental equilibrium and deeper concentration.
  15. N. S. S. - Baruipur College has a healthy National Service Scheme under the Department of Youth Affairs, Central Government. Students are very enthusiastic in performing various social services in nearby villages.
  16. Cultural Activities - Seminar, symposium, debate, quiz, singing and recitation competitions are held in the college each year, Baruipur College has earned a great reputation in staging dance drama where splendid performance is displayed by the students. Further students of Baruipur College have got 1st prize in inter collegiate music competition organized under the Cultural & Information Department of South 24 Parganas District. College also observes Independence Day, Republic Day and other important days.
  17. College Publications - Magazines, wall magazines are published where students may get scope for flourishing their latent talent.
  18. Youth Parliament - Baruipur College is selected to introduce youth parliamentary program to create student awareness regarding parliamentary proceedings.
  19. Grievance Redressal Cell - Students convey their opinion regarding academic and extra curricular activities of the college. Teachers and students meetings are held on the basis of their opinion.
  20. Career Counseling Cell - A career counseling cell is in place in the college to assist students.
  21. Students' Health Home - The Students' Health Home of Baruipur College is maintained by a Public Institution. Every student pays a fee (included in main fees) of Rs.5/- towards this facility. After collection of fees, the college sends it to the Students' Health Home at Moulali, Kolkata (near Sealdah Station). All students are entitled to regular medical check-ups there and branch situated at Champahati.
  22. Scholarship and Awards - There is an exemption of college fees given by the Govt. of West Bengal to poor and meritorious student. Over and above this, the college is able to provide some concessions to meritorious and bright students who are unable to pay the fees due to financial constraints. Some prizes and scholarships in memory of donors and departmental teachers are also awarded to students with excellent results.
