Special Lecture on Introduction to AI (Artificial Intelligence)
Date: 13.06.2024 Organised by IQAC & Department of Journalism and Mass Communication Objective: To organize lectures on various aspects of AI. Outcome: Prof. Prabir Kumar Haldar, Professor in the Department of Physics, Cooch Behar Panchanan Barma University was invited to deliver a special lecture on Artificial Intelligence. His lecture emphasised the history and development of AI in the global context. He also focused on how AI can be used for improving teaching learning process. An interactive session at the end of the lecture was immensely beneficial for the teachers and students. Workshop on Intellectual Property Rights
Date: 07/08/2023 Organised by IQAC Objective: The workshop will cover details of intellectual property rights, copyright, patents etc. Outcome: The workshop focused on different aspects of Intellectual Property Rights (IPRs), Conversion of the research/project works into Patents for Innovations. The workshop also brought a positive transformation in the Faculty member’s attitude in projects and research works and made them more focused as well as result oriented. Workshop on Financial Awareness for Teaching and Non-Teaching Staff
Organised by IQAC Date: 25/08/2023 Objective: To organise a Financial Literacy Programme to spread entrepreneurship approach among students and teachers. Outcome: The resource person helped the teachers understand concepts like asset allocation, diversification, risk management, and investment objectives more effectively. The workshop also focused on how to inculcate entrepreneurial approach among students and how Financial Awareness can help in this. Research Methods in Social Sciences
Date: 31/7/2023 Organised by IQAC Objective: To help teachers and students build critical perspectives on dominant strands of research followed in theoretical and empirical research. Outcome: The workshop addressed some of the issues from of both quantitative and qualitative traditions and enriched the participants in social sciences research methodology.
