 About the DepartmentDepartment of Physiology, Baruipur College under the University of Calcutta was established in the year 2005 - 2006. It was one of the first science departments of the college and offers Bachelor of Science General Degree course. Laboratory of this department is well equipped with all necessary equipments and chemicals for conducting practical classes. Theory classes are taken in an interactive manner as well as through audio visual demonstration, whenever necessary to make it interesting for the students. Physiology is a branch of biology that deals with the normal functioning of the body of living organisms and their various parts. It explains about the functions of its system and how they coordinate to maintain good health. After finishing this course one can decide to pursue career in paramedical courses, pharmaceutical course, laboratory technologies and various other avenues. Faculty
